Jot is a low-cost digital product delivered to you instantly: the moment your payment clears, a license key lands in your inbox and unlocks the app. Because of that immediate delivery, purchases are non-refundable. We don't offer refunds, returns, or credits once an order is complete.
Everything Jot does is laid out plainly on this site: how it works, what it costs, and which Macs it runs on. It's a one-time $5 with no subscription and no recurring charges, so there is nothing to cancel later. If you're not sure Jot is right for you, ask us before you buy and we'll give you a straight answer.
No refunds doesn't mean no support. If your license key won't activate or you hit a technical problem, email us and we'll work with you until the app is running. Standing behind Jot is our job; issuing refunds simply isn't part of the deal.
If you're a consumer in the EU or UK, you'd normally have a 14-day "cooling-off" period to cancel an online purchase. That right does not apply once you've received digital content that was supplied immediately with your consent. By buying Jot and getting instant access to your license key, you expressly agree that delivery begins right away and that you give up the 14-day right of withdrawal at that point. Polar records this acknowledgement at checkout.
Your purchase is sold and processed by Polar Software Inc., acting as Merchant of Record, so Polar is the seller for tax and consumer-law purposes and handles any billing dispute or chargeback. Nothing in this policy removes mandatory statutory rights you may have under the consumer-protection laws where you live; where such a right applies and cannot be waived, it is honored through Polar.
